While we have not yet found a riding tour there which meets our standards, we have discovered a wonderful land rover safari which affords exceptional opportunities to watch the fascinating wildlife close up including elephant, lion and giraffe. The wildebeest migration across the Serengeti comprises over a million animals and is one of the great phenomena of nature now that the vast herds of bison in North America have virtually disappeared except for a few pockets in places like Yellowstone Park. The sight of huge numbers of wildebeest stretching to the horizon on the flat plains is a breathtaking experience which you will never forget.
