Wildlife Safaris in Tanzania (non-riding)
Tanzania
is perhaps the best place in the world to observe wildlife
today. It is also the place where mankind got its start. While
we have not yet found a riding tour there which meets our
standards, we have discovered a wonderful land rover safari
which affords exceptional opportunities to watch the fascinating
wildlife close up including elephant, lion and giraffe. We stay
in luxurious camps or top lodges and spend the days on game
drives with knowledgeable guides. The opportunities for
photography are unsurpassed.
The wildebeest
migration across the Serengeti comprises over a million animals and
is one of the great phenomena of nature now that the vast herds of
bison in North America have virtually disappeared except for a few
pockets in places like Yellowstone Park. The sight of huge numbers
of wildebeest stretching to the horizon on the flat plains is a
breathtaking experience which you will never forget. The Tanzanian
Government deserves high marks for protecting this priceless wonder
of nature. Follow this link for details on the
Tanzanian wildlife safari of a lifetime."
